JAMSET's instrumental CD to be released in 2008

JAMSET featured regularly as the back-up band for D'Mar's recording artist Ms. Jaz, is a group comprised of session and touring musicians who have played and opened for such acts as Roy Ayers, Jean Carne, Ronnie Laws, Pieces of a Dream, Phil Perry, Regina Belle, and most recently Bobby Blue bland. Over the years members of the group have changed and grown to its current membership of Rick Perry, Saul Schneider, and David Ridenour. D’Mar Entertainment will release JAMSET’s instrumental Jazz CD in 2008. Kerry Jordan, a native of Cincinnati has been playing bass for over 35 years. A few of his credits include being one of the touring bassist for the nationally renown Millie Jackson Facts of Life group, session musician for Bi-Sarge Productions, writing and producing material for The Cincinnati Music Festival. He has played regionally for various groups including Munique, DW Project, The Groove Society and Kim Taylor. At present, Kerry's production company, JBASSO, is involved extensively with the production projects of DMAR Entertainment’s recording artists. His musical versatility has garnished him the opportunity to perform with a wide variety of musicians in jazz, gospel, rock and R&B genres. Rick Perry, a native of Williamstown, Kentucky has lived in the Greater Cincinnati area for over 15 years. An accomplished drummer, Rick has performed with numerous bands in the area including Blue Souls, Cold Smoke, Crow Haven Farm, Smokin’, Soul Progression, Out All Night, Bustin’ Out, Lee Greenwood and Ms. Jaz. His career spans 40 years and when asked if he had hobbies, he responded “relaxing at my pool”. David Ridenour is a native of Mineral Wells, Texas but was raised in Ashland, KY. David moved to the Greater Cincinnati Area 13 years ago and has been making a name for himself ever since. His previous credits include playing with great artists such as Ray Charles, Joan Baez and Maynard Ferguson. He can be found playing around town with some of Cincinnati’s great Jazz and R&B bands. Saul Schneider, a Cincinnati native and life long tennis player and golfer began playing piano at the early age of 15. His musical career began with his first band, The Ohio University Jazz Ensemble in 1976. After graduation, OSU in 1977, he formed a Quartet with saxophonist Brad Roberts and played the Mt. Adams scene. In 1978, Saul moved to Vermont and formed a jazz band. In 1983, he joined a Jazz Quintet and played regularly in Fitzwilliam, NH. Saul moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1984 and then in 1985, he returned to New England to live in Boston. He decided in 1987 he needed a “real job” and attended Law School. Today, Saul can be found working as an attorney by day and performing with JAMSET as keyboardist for Ms. Jaz.
